All of us who have carried babies to term know that the last month is the longest and slowest, with the last two weeks being even slower and longer. And so it goes. I am eager to meet this tiny boy who has grown in me for the better part of a year. I wait for signs that labor is approaching. I try to remember the sequence of events from my other labors, but I get muddled. Not that it will matter. The baby will come when he is ready and not before – no matter what I do. I think that is what is so frustrating. I just want to do something to get things going. My laundry is done, my floors are clean, my bag is packed…I am ready. But still I must wait. So, I’ll do another puzzle. I’ll wait a while longer. What choice do I have?

Welcome!
I am a busy, homeschooling mom and at the end of the day I am more prone to turn on the tv than to pick up a pen. So this blog was born to keep me writing. I don't know what I'll have to say, but hopefully you'll find something worth reading. If so, let me know. I love a good discussion. Click on the link below to find out more about me...Pages

Come out, Rocket Captain, Come out!
my oldest turns 20 later this month – after being born 8 weeks early (3 lb, 13 oz). I am convinced that God made that last month of pregnancy miserable so that we’re glad to be “not pregnant”. I think it was several months before I got over missing the feeling of the baby inside (and I didn’t have that with my daughter – I was glad to be “not pregnant” after – almost – full term)
Good luck and Godspeed!
I didn’t realise you were so close to your due date
Ah yes, I remember well those looooong last couple of weeks!
I am almost there, and I know he can’t stay in forever! So far, all three of my other labors began on the 10th of the month, so I’ll wait till the 10th and if he doesn’t come, I may have to send an eviction notice. :O) Keep me in your prayers ladies.
I told DH I was a little nervous about labor and he said “Why?” My answer? “Um, it really hurts.”
But you’re right Ellen, by the end we are so ready to do anything to have the baby, that even labor is anticipated.
